Helal Akbar Chowdhury Babor, a famous name from Bangladesh Politics is widely known for his invention of the Corona Resistance Booth. He worked in different sub-parts of the Bangladesh Awami League. Helal Akbar Chowdhury is a selfless social worker along with his political identity. He worked hard and passionately to establish his career as a renowned politician. During the outbreak of Covid-19, his contribution was timeless, he invented the first Corona resistance booth in the country and many influential figures followed him.

One of the most influential figures in the Bangladesh Awami League, Helal Chowdhury was born in Chattrogram on 2nd February 1974. His mother’s name is Begum Rizia Chowdhury. He has four brothers and four sisters. He completed his SSC in 1991 from Municipal Model High School And H.S.C from Omargani Muslim Education Society (M.E.S.) College in 1993. He began his political career in 1988 by getting chosen as the general secretary of the Nandankanan Union Chhatra League, idealizing the ideas of Bangabandhu. In 1997, he was elected general secretary of the Omar Gani MES College and the Bishab Vidyalaya College, he was elected as a deputy finance Secretary of the Bangladesh Jubo League in 2003. Helal Chowdhury contributed all his life to the country and its people. He participated in many protests against corruption in favor of the Bangladeshi ordinary people. When the anti-tyranny Ershad movement started in 1989, Babar headed the campaign on the streets under the supervision of veteran leader ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury and other senior leaders. Moreover, he always dedicates himself to the helpless people. During the month of Ramadan, he distributes Iftar and seheri to the poor. He said, “On behalf of the ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury Foundation, I have begun this month-long campaign to spare the suffering of the elderly, the disabled, and pedestrians during Iftar and Seheri”

Along with all his contributions, his outstanding invention of the corona booth stands out the most. In the month of May 2020, Helal Akbar Chowdhry launched his first corona prevention booth around Dhaka city. At first, only a few people were getting the service of Corona Booth and it is to be remembered that the service was free for everyone. With the notion of an ITM booth in mind, the Corona Resistance Booth was created. Junaid Ahmed Palak, Minister of State for Information and Communication, adopted Helal Akbar Chowdhury Babor’s direction. On June 26, he established this corona detection booth in his neighborhood with a view toward the general citizenry’s health protection. Since rural residents may also receive the service for free, Corona Booth’s concept benefited a large number of people. Babor said, “The Bangladeshi government supports citizens from all walks of life, starting with the poorest. We engage in politics. In our politics, the people come first. So by erecting this booth to stop corona, I’m attempting to stand behind the people in this terrible moment.”

Helal Akbar is a courageous Politian with a golden heart. The nation will always celebrate his contribution and especially his remarkable invention of him “Corona Booth.”
