Philadelphia shootings: A 7-year-old boy was shot while playing video games at his Germantown home

Philadelphia (WPVI) — Philadelphia police say a boy was shot Saturday night while playing video games inside his home.

The incident occurred around 9:41 pm on Block 200 Colom Street in the Germantown section of the city.

Police say the bullet was fired from somewhere outside the house.

The boy hit his leg. He was taken to a local hospital and placed in stable condition.

Investigators say there are four bullet holes in the house.

Only the boy’s mother was home at the time. she wasn’t hurt.

Police detained a 17-year-old boy with a loaded gun at the scene, but investigators do not believe he was the shooter.
