Texas dad got into a fight with an alligator — just before daughter’s school day

Mike Trinn, who owns a seafood restaurant in Houston, thought he was joking when his youngest daughter, Caitlin, said there was an alligator outside his front door. According to CNN affiliate KPRC-TV.

The restaurant owner has put into practice a procedure he learned over the years watching the famous ‘crocodile hunter’. He threw a towel over the crocodile’s head to calm it down and wrote, “So that I can take the children to school.” I asked my 12-year-old daughter to cover her mouth with duct tape and jiu-jitsu tape.

According to KPRC-TV, Torin and a friend loaded the alligator into the back of a truck and released it into a nearby pond.

This amateur crocodile wrangler said he was happy his daughters took pictures of their encounter.

“I think [my daughter] According to KPRC-TV, if you tell your friends at school, they probably won’t believe you.”

“Although alligators are common in parts of Texas, they have a natural fear of humans and typically retreat when approached,” the Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife said in a statement shared with CNN. “However, anyone who encounters a pesky alligator in a non-emergency situation should call the Texas Parks and Wildlife Service’s Law Enforcement Communications Dispatch Center.”

Feeding and harassing alligators is a Class C misdemeanor in the state.
