In the late 1990s, he attended school in Bern, Switzerland, around the same time as his brother Kim Jong Un. She studied under various pseudonyms.

One of at least five known siblings. She is the youngest child of former North Korean leaders Kim Jong Il and Ko Young Hee. She is the younger sister of current leader Kim Jong Un. Her grandfather was the first leader of North Korea.

2007 – Appointed as a junior cadre of the ruling Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK).

2009-2011 – Worked at the National Defense Commission and served as Kim Jong Il’s personal secretary

March 2014 ・Attended the election of the Supreme People’s Assembly. It was her first public appearance alongside her brother and the first time her name was publicly mentioned by North Korean state media.

2014 – Appointed as Deputy Director of the Propaganda and Agitation Department of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

October 8, 2017 – January 2021 – Deputy member of WPK’s Politburo. It is not known what she was capable of in this role. On some lists, she is not named after her, leading to speculation that she has been demoted and reinstated multiple times. As of January 2021, she has not appeared as an alternate member. She is also listed alternately as the Politburo’s “First Deputy Director” to “Deputy Director”.
