Cetinje shooting: 11 dead in Montenegro shooting

According to Montenegro Police Chief Zoran Breanin, the suspect first attacked a family who lived as tenants in his house.

“He used a hunting rifle to kill two children, ages 8 and 11, and wounded his mother, who later died of her injuries in a medical facility.

“Then he went out into the street and used the same rifle to shoot other residents of the settlement.”

Witnesses told RTCG that the shooter “shot people indiscriminately while walking down the street.”

Authorities said they had identified the attacker.

Ljiljana Radulovic, director of the clinical center in Montenegro, said three of the injured victims were hospitalized in critical condition.

Montenegro’s President Milo Dzukanovic tweeted on Friday that he was “deeply disturbed” by the news.

“My deepest condolences to the bereaved families and all those who lost loved ones. We all as a society must stand in solidarity with them during this difficult time,” Djukanovich said on Twitter.
