(CNN) — Space is a valuable product in San Francisco. Finding a room for a new urban green space in a densely developed city surrounded by water requires some ingenuity.
On Sunday, the long-awaited creative solution will be open to the public, giving tourists another thing to add to San Francisco’s to-do list.
For years, the 14-acre park is an urban oasis with stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge.

“The iconic environment is perfect for transforming highway infrastructure into vibrant new public spaces.”

The views of these Golden Gates will be a particular highlight, but the park is planning other features for the city’s inhabitants and many tourists.
So, according to a news release from the partnership, what was once a raised highway has been replaced by a path connecting the two for the first time in decades.
Other important parts of the tunnel top are:
• Presidio step: These terraces connect the Cliff Walk to an outpost, a two-acre outdoor playground for children. Facing the Golden Gate Bridge, you can enjoy dramatic views.
• Field station: Here, young people can explore the natural and cultural environment of Presidio “through the lens of science, art and imagination”.
This rendering is from GoldenGate Meadow. The purpose is to be a gathering place surrounded by gardens, tall primordial grasses and perennials. The park will be used for picnics, kite flying and connecting with nature.

Art murals, picnic areas, campfire circles, and meadows for kite flying have also been added.
San Francisco offers many urban hikes, and the Presidio Tunnel Tops should be a great starting point or end point for a robust outing.

San Francisco is full of classic attractions such as Golden Gate Park, Coit Tower, Alcatraz, Chinatown and The Palace of Fine Arts. How do new children stand out?
“Presidio is one of San Francisco’s unique attractions and destinations in national parks at city destinations. Still, some travelers are as familiar with Presidio as other iconic attractions in San Francisco. “No,” said Hubertus Funke, Executive Vice President. Chief Tourism Officer of the San Francisco Travel Association.
“The high-profile opening of the Presidio Tunnel Tops raises the park’s worldwide reputation and makes it a“ must-see ”attraction. ”
Presidio Tunnel Tops “provides a variety of programming that reflects the cultural vibrancy of the Bay Area …. It incredibly enhances one of the country’s most beautiful and most visited national parks. It is something to do. “
