Sometimes, you’ll need to remove an entire game off your PC. If it’s been played out of its time or has taken up excessive space on your PC, eliminating it is a must.

Eliminating the Digital Distribution Service
Digital distribution platforms such as Steam, GOG, Origin or Epic as well as others offer their own options for uninstallation on their launchers. This is helpful when you are using the launcher and need to uninstall the game immediately. This can also be useful when you need to remove games from one particular publisher but not others.
Below are a selection of the most well-known digital distribution sites available for PC and their local options for uninstallation.
- In the Blizzard application, choose the icon for the game you wish to remove. Select Options, and then select Uninstall Game.
- Start the launcher and select the game you wish to remove from the tray. In the upper right corner of the splash page, click Uninstall.
- Open Library Open Library, on Icon View click the three dots at the bottom right part of the program that you wish to uninstall. In list view this button is in the upper right corner. Select Uninstall on the left menu.
- In your GOG launcher, select Installed in the menu. Select the game you wish to get rid of. Select the button on the right of Play to open the menu. Hover on Manage Installation then choose Uninstall.
- The Microsoft Store does not offer the option of uninstalling locally. Go to Windows System Settings to uninstall from there.
- Choose My Game Library. Right-click the icon of the game you would like to remove. Choose Uninstall.
- In the launcher, go to Library. Select the icon for the game you wish to remove, click the right button then click Manage. Choose Uninstall. You can do this by clicking Properties and then clicking on in the Local Files Tab, and selecting Uninstall Game.
- In the launcher, select Games in the launcher. Right-click on the game you wish to be to be removed and select Uninstall.
Go through your game’s to see if it includes launched with a launcher. Some games also include an additional uninstaller software. These are typically called Uninstall.exe. You can also open the game to see the options available to uninstall it. The majority of games that support this will include an Settings as well as a Game Settings menu. If the uninstall option isn’t be found in the launchermenu, look under menus.
The benefit of using game-specific software for uninstalling games is that they can remove only the game files but not the saved files. This is helpful, particularly in the case that the games do not store their data to Cloud. Deleting via Windows Settings
If you wish to delete games from Windows settings then you can follow these steps:
On Windows 10:
- Open the Windows Start Bar.
- Choose Settings.
- Choose Apps.
- Choose Apps & Features.
- Choose the game you wish to remove and then click on it.
- Choose Uninstall.
on Windows 8.1 or less:
- Start the search bar.
- Type Control Panel.
- Open Control Panel.
- From the menu of Programs, choose Uninstall Programs.
- Select the game you wish to remove out of the options.
- Choose Uninstall Program.
Deleting on Mac
For MacOS, macOS platform, the process of deleting an application is done via opening your Applications folder and then dragging the icon into the trash. This will delete the application, however, it leaves any system files in the background. Also Read: How to Make Cow in Little Alchemy?
An alternative is using the Windows Finder, and enter the name of the application. Check to see if System Files are included in the search attributes. Drag the entire list of documents you locate in the Trash.
Manual Deletion
Similar to the procedure of deleting programs in MacOS You can also erase the game yourself by removing the game’s folders. It’s not recommended since it doesn’t completely erase all system files from your PC.
Certain games, however, are self-contained and do not go into the registry of the system when they’re running. If you aren’t able to find games in the list of programs when you launch Windows Uninstall Windows Uninstall window, there’s an excellent chance that it’s not in the registry. If that’s the case, then deleting the entire folder is the most effective way to get rid of it.
