Bears and Cubs invade Canton’s house for dinner

Canton, Connecticut (WFSB)-In Canton, one resident says bears continue to stop by for dinner in their homes.

Melissa Cresentini says that three times a week, mommy bears and cubs broke into the house and ate all the food. Authorities are currently trying to find it.

“We were all back and playing. There were 20 to 30 people, and bears came and sat down at the birthday table and started eating pizza,” said Cresentini. ..

Cresentini and her neighbor Rachel Maggie say they found this bear, called Mama, everywhere in the woods, like in the neighborhood of Canton.

“The next day I went to work and went home and saw an apple on the floor of the hallway,” said Cresentini. “One of them had a huge bite removed, and when I looked into it, I found that the kitchen had been destroyed and all the cabinets had been pulled out.”

Two neighbors say they are now nervous about going outside or inside their home, thanks to their unwelcome visitors.

“There are a lot of bears here and everyone is used to it. I have no problem understanding what it feels like to live with a bear,” Maggie said. “There is no reason to do any harm, but you cannot break into your house at the same time.”

Crescentini’s says the Canton Police Department came out and reported, and DEEP put a bear trap in her donut-filled yard.

“The big trap came after the third visit from the bear when the bear was at home when I was at home. They delivered it, DEEEP came, delivered the trap, and it. He told me everything about it, “Crescentini said. “They feel very strongly about keeping bears alive.”

Authorities want to remind residents not to feed bears and to ensure that you lock all doors.
