A bank clerk in Carbondale, Pennsylvania helps a suspect arrested after a kidnapped woman requests a loan
Carbondale, Pennsylvania-Abducted women are safe, thanks to employees of the Alert Bank in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.

Investigators say 36-year-old Wilson Medina Garcia trapped the victim in her bedroom on Tuesday afternoon.

They say he threatened to destroy her cell phone and kill a woman and her children.

At some point, police say Medina Garcia took her to a title and tag store, where she tried to warn workers that she had been kidnapped. However, they did not realize she needed help and the woman left with the suspect.

After noon on Wednesday, police say Medina Garcia took the woman to PNC Bank on South Main Street in Carbondale and took out a $ 5,000 loan.

According to the authorities, the woman requested a “help” loan from a bank clerk.

The employee realized she needed help and sounded the silent alarm normally used in the case of hold-ups.

Carbondale police soon arrived at the bank and arrested Medina Garcia on the scene.

The policeman went to the apartment where he was allegedly capturing a woman.

They found a bedroom door key and a broken cell phone.

Medina-Garcia has been charged with kidnapping, illegal detention, and the threat of terrorism.
