The mountain is also surrounded by lush vegetation, making it seem almost tropical from such a lofty height. Many believe that Mount Puncak Jaya resembles an ice cream cone due to its white color and curling peaks. There are many hiking trails around Mount Puncak Jayna that lead to various natural wonders such as waterfalls, lakes, and wild animals. However, hikers must be cautious because some trails are more dangerous than others- especially after dark. Miners also use these gorges to reach the mountain’s peak; they call it their ‘Mount Everest’ as it’s even tougher than climbing Mount Puncazk Jakua itself.
