Blount footballer voices support for troubled coach

Mobile, Alabama (Straw) – Several Blount High School football players have spoken out, showing support for the head coach on leave.

In a nearly two-minute video posted on social media, many players and students gave their opinions on coach Josh Harris. The three were especially grateful to their coaches for teaching them the “life lessons” of buying equipment and helping them become men, not just soccer players.

The Leopards’ first-year coach took a leave of absence late last week after a video went viral showing him hitting a player in the butt.

The parent, who shared the video to FOX10 News, said he was praying for the coach, adding that everyone makes mistakes.

The Mobile County Public Schools System said the incident is still under investigation.
