Houston, TX (KTRK) — A parent of the Youth Football and Cheerleading Federation is in hot water for chasing a 12-year-old during a Little League football game last weekend and threatening to slap him.

Witnesses said the woman was upset that a 12-year-old girl had tackled her child.

The 12-year-old’s mother reported the situation to the police.

The woman never touched the child, but the victim’s mother says she was upset that someone was threatening her son when it should have been a fun game.

Houston Police have confirmed they are investigating.

“This was an incident that could have ended much worse than it did. This particular facility is essentially an open field with multiple entrances and no barriers between spectators and the game field, so there is no room for standard access control policies to be applied. .”

Hart said the women are permanently banned from all YFF events and activities, as are the rest of their families and children.

The woman had to pay a $200 fine, and her son’s former team, the Northwest Gorillas, was fined $500 after being accused of not managing the sidelines.

I am doing my best for you. We can’t control the actions and emotions of others, but we want to be responsible for our entire behavior, how it played a part and how it was displayed at yesterday’s events. Despite the behavior exhibited by the opposing team, there was no reason for it to escalate in that degree or manner. We thank all of our dedicated parents who continue to ride for us. ”
