Zac Efron doesn’t think his ‘Baywatch’ body is ‘truly achievable’

“I don’t know if that ‘Baywatch’ look is really achievable.” Efron told Men’s Health In an interview published Wednesday. “The skin is too hydrated. It looks fake. It looks like CGI.”

The actor, who is currently bulking up for an unnamed role, said that getting in shape to play Olympian-turned-lifeguard Matt Brody “needs Lasix” to achieve and that he “has a strong You need a diuretic.

“So I don’t have to do it,” Efron said. “I much prefer two to three extra percent body fat.”

He also said he was training too much, eating the same food at all three meals, and not sleeping well.

Efron is speaking about it now, not to complain, but to let people know “how devastating the process was for him, and how long the negative effects of his training lasted.”

“I started having insomnia and had a pretty bad depression for a long time. Something about that experience burned me out,” Efron said, taking six months for him to start feeling better. “I had a really hard time refocusing. Eventually they concluded that they had taken too many diuretics for too long and it had screwed something up.” ”
