Osprey Lynx at Hunters Creek Apartments struck by lightning, affecting 20 units

orange county, florida – Lightning struck an Orange County apartment building on Tuesday night, affecting 20 units and forcing five homes to evacuate, fire officials said.

Orange County firefighters said flames were erupting from the roof and eaves of the Osprey Lynx building at Hunters Creek Apartments.

The fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported.

Fire officials said eight adults and five children from five families are receiving Red Cross assistance.

Initially, 20 households were reported affected by the fire.
