Charlie D’Amelio and mother Heidi join cast of ‘Dancing with the Stars’

Charlie D’Amelio said when his family got the casting call, “I thought it was a joke.”

The TikTok star, who has more than 146 million followers and is known for dancing on social media platforms, is ready to learn ballroom dancing.

“In terms of the actual choreography, I would like to nod a little bit about why I am here and what brought me here, but I think we’re going to really tackle the technical part of ballroom dancing.” said she said.

Tyra Banks and Alfonso Ribeiro will host News Season. The judges are Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Huff.

The full cast of celebrities competing for mother-daughter will be revealed on “GMA” Thursday.

Dancing with the Stars Season 31 premieres on Disney+ on September 19th.
