One person airlifted with ‘trauma’ after Aventura yacht fire

Miami – A multi-million dollar yacht caught fire in Aventura on Friday night and had to be airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Miami-Dade fire officials say the fire started after 7 p.m.

They said more than 20 MDFR units responded to the First Alarm vessel fire at 1520 Island Blvd.

Responding crew found a large vessel anchored behind a house in the channel.

One person suffered “trauma” and was airlifted.
