Liz Truss Wins the most votes in the Conservative leadership election and becomes the next British Prime Minister boris johnson He resigned in July after a series of scandals.

Truss defeated rival Rishi Sunak by 81,326 votes to 60,399 among party members to take over as party leader on Tuesday as Britons face a mounting economic and social crisis.
